Barb Pavliscak is the bocce tournament event and staff coordinator as well as George Pavliscak's personal muse.

Over the years, we've made many, many great friends at and around the annual bocce tournament. Nancy is a particular favorite as she has been relentlessly supportive of Metro as well as my GenX book project.

The day of the bocce tournament, Nancy demonstrated her moxie by calling the party before leaving her house to find out if anyone needed anything. Just so happens we had left behind a few very necessary parts for the jockey box. Super Nancy ran The Errand that saved The Day!

Beer, goofy guys, and women holding armloads of firecrackers. A piece of our heart will always live in Wisconsin.

At the end of the evening, the scores are tallied and awards given. Here we see the Grand Poobah of the Annual Pavliscak Invitational Bocce Tournament awarding a younger player "Minor Champion."

Jimmy is an annoyingly excellent lawn bowler and definitely deserved the recognition. As soon as he's old enough to earn awards given to adult participants, he will likely still be kicking everybody's butts.
